Zac’s First Music Class

This week, Zachary and I were invited to participate in his Grandfather- Matthew Jamison’s Musical instruction class, Feed Your Mind Music. It’s an awesome opportunity for children to develop musical skills and engage in extra-curricular activities at no cost. After school on Tuesdays and Saturdays, two musical instructors teach children the concepts of music from an interactive perspective. I was a little nervous with Zac being the youngest in the class but found myself amazed at his level of concentration. This guy THOROUGHLY enjoyed the class although, I found myself being a Mommy and stepping in to assist him despite the skilled instructor doing a great job at directing.

Staten Island Ferry with Zac!

There are very few people who are on Zac’s “Favorites” list. My sister Seanice (aka Auntie Niecey) happens to be one of themโ€ฆ So much of a favorite; he begged to go on an “adventure”, meeting her at the Staten Island Ferry after work today. After waiting half an hour for her boat to arrive, we decided to make the slightly sleepy Zac’s adventure even more exciting. We walked around the deepest corners and attacked the nearest Dunkin Donuts for their 99c any size iced coffee. While my sister and I basked in the great large coffees, Zac enjoyed his fancy cup of free warm milk. I find the best way to keep my chipmunk awake when he feels his bed calling to create moments of adventure. Any everyday task  like “The Book Museum”/ The Library or “The Clothes Museum”/ H&M becomes a wonderland waiting to be explored.  The adventure ended as the three of us raced to the empty Wall St stationโ€ฆ of course Zac beat us to the finish line.

Slow Down Sunday

Early Sunday Morning, Zac and I decided to visit our old church in Brooklyn. After getting dressed we headed towards our local bus stop and learned the bus wouldn’t come for another 30 minutes and 86’d the whole idea. As an alternate plan, we headed to see my Grandparents and basque in whats left of the 50 degree weather.

Let’s Go To The Park!

For the past few weeks, I’ve been working like a maniac!
50+ hour work weeks have kept me away from doing some of the things I most enjoy…
Late night dinner with the ladies, Reality T.V. with mi madre, and most importantly, hang time with my chipmunk, Zac. To make up for time lost, I took the most important man I know out for an evening at the park.
The weather had been awesome the entire day. I couldn’t miss a moment!

On the Move!

Life has gotten quite hectic with a few events at The Gap as well as my new position and transfer coming up. I hadn’t had much time to update MOM.ME

Zac has been growing a ton!
His face is changing, sense of humor is over the top, and believe it or not, so has his energy. He’s becoming much more over protective and social as his vocabulary grows. With this NEW-FOUND ZAC, its time for an upgrade in wardrobe.
My Mom or as Zac likes to say, “Ya-ya” and I went window shopping to see what sales would be going on for the kids.
We were DRAGGED in to The Children’s Place by their unavoidable “$5 Tees” Ad on Fulton Street.
After remembering my more than generous employee discount at Gap, I reneged, we left out empty handed but, DO check out their sale… TONS to offer at The Children’s Place.
With the Chipmunk growing, I’m hoping to maintain his bow-tie. I’d say he favors the clean lines but the Tie definitely adds fun.
His SUPER fashionista Grandma- Mrs Jamison is known to find THE most insane and unheard of sales ever known to man. Of course, she ran into Daffy’s which is now going out of business and ran into these cool finds for the Zacster.
MOSCHINO Orig Retail Price $85
Moschino Orig Retail Price $133
Diesel Orig. Retail Price $85
Each show ranges from about $85-$133 actual retail price. Mrs Jamison and her wonderful self managed to get these funky Diesel tennis shoes for $30 bucks. I fell in love with them the moment she’d text the photo’s. Anyone who knows Diesel knows their products last forever and a day, not to mention, the shoes are without a doubt comfortable. I wanted to stay away from the “Toddler-Like” round toe in the Moschino shoes and kinda liked the maturity and spirit of the Diesel shoe for my big boy.

Too Cute Chipmunk of the Day!

Check THIS cute little Chipmunk and his Fashion Forward Energy !!!!
This little man is wayyyyy too cool with his H&M gear on. I’m not one for biting but, I may have to steal this haircut for Zac. But, I must say. Whomever this hot guys parents are definitely know style and understand their little one. The socks are the coolest touch and definitely match his personality. Not too many can pull this off but, to each its own.
This kid is DEFINITELY a breed of his own. But, he can be down with the #TeamZac any day!

Backpacking+ with the Boys!

Accessories for boys can be one of the toughest things to come by.
Sometimes as parents, we’ll spend the entire day hopping from store to store praying we’ll find that one perfect thing for our guys to wear; meanwhile, the Mom over on the opposite side of the store happily skips to the cashier with her cute girly bows and bandanas.
One thing I’ve been lucky enough to learn is that, our guys know what they like. Give them an opportunity to play around and get a feel for what they want. Maybe on a shopping trip, grab a hat. Try it on. They’ll tell you if they think its hot or not.

I’ve been lucky enough to have the coolest guy around! Zac would GLADLY inform me if he’s not digging his look. For the first few months, my family and I realized he had a fascination with watches. He’d just stare and drool just a little more than usual when his God-Father passed by… eyes fixated on the watch alone. The moment he turned 1 1/2, I figured it was time I tried it out. Since then, it’s become a staple in his every day look.

Not to mention the signature Messenger cap, Bow Tie, Neck Tie just to add a few are his go-to pieces.

More recently, Zac has fallen in love with “The Back Pack” (or as he would say, “Bah-Patch”). Oh boy, we couldnt DARE leave without it. While we were shopping for his Daddy Sponsored birthday threads, we stumbled across a football backpack at The Children’s Place
From then on, the two haven’t parted ways.
It’s a great way to give them a start of independence if they haven’t started Day Care already. Not to mention, it takes a load off the purse and the baby bag.
A smooth step out of baby days and into Toddler-ism.

Here are a few Highlights of cute looks I’ve stumbled across from Toddler Boys
